At the FAW McDonalds Grassroots Awards Ceremony held in Cardiff last Saturday, The Boot Room which is based in Briton Ferry won the award for the Best Grassroots Football Story,
The Boot Room is an amazing community project that gives every child a chance to play sport by removing the barrier of cost, ensuring that no child goes without boots or kit. The project’s ethos is to inspire children and is built on a simple but extremely effective idea to recycle worn boots donated by people who no longer need them. The boots donated are then sent out to those who really need them, allowing more children to enjoy the game we all love. As we come out of the global pandemic, the army of volunteers behind the amazing project are expanding their services into wider areas to support even more children from all backgrounds and keep inspiring the nation.
I have attached a poster from the Boot Room with details of drop off locations and I hope you are able to support this fantastic project.
