Help to develop Girls’ Football in Carmarthenshire

Girls football development in Carmarthenshire is a priority area of focus for the FAW Trust and the West Wales Women’s and Girls’ Football League, so if you are currently involved or would like be involved with girls football, then the FAW Trust have an upcoming event that will be of interest to you.
Currently there is a lack of provision for girls’ football at Under-8 and Under-10 age groups in certain areas of Carmarthenshire.
For the 2018/19 season, there are currently only 6 teams in Carmarthenshire across both these age groups.
As a result, Girls’ football development in Carmarthenshire is a priority area of focus for the FAW Trust and we will be committing significant funding and resources into developing new Girls’ teams and clubs and recruiting new players to the game.
Therefore the FAW Trust and West Wales Women’s and Girls’ League are inviting all clubs who are currently delivering Girls football, have run girls teams in the past and those who have an aspiration to deliver Girls football to a meeting on Wednesday, 24 October 2018, from 7.00pm – 8.00 pm at Ysgol Maes y Gwendraeth in Cefneithin (SA14 7DT).
The meeting will detail the support, incentives and opportunities available to your club to run girls football.
