Free FAW Safeguarding Level 2 Course – Open to all WWFA affiliated Clubs
The FAW Safeguarding Level 2 Course will be delivered in person and free of charge for WWFA‑affiliated club members.
Taking place on Thursday 10th September 2026, this is an excellent opportunity to access up‑to‑date, comprehensive safeguarding training designed to strengthen confidence, processes, and best practice across football in West Wales. Places are on a first come first served basis and booking is necessary via:

Date: Thursday 10th September, 18:30 – 21:30 (registration from 18:15)
Delivered by: The FAW in partnership with the West Wales FA (WWFA)
Eligibility:
All attendees must have a valid DBS certificate in order to receive the qualification.
Attendance Requirement:
Delegates must attend the full three hours to receive certification. On completion, the qualification will be added to each participant’s COMET account. No physical certificate is issued.
Participants will learn to:
Understand safeguarding roles and responsibilities within Welsh football
Identify poor practice and recognise signs and forms of abuse
Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns or disclosures
Identify agencies and organisations that can offer support
Apply best‑practice guidance when working with children and vulnerable adults
Implement effective safeguarding measures within football environments
How to adopt a trauma informed approach
Understand the voice of the child
