Please see below a summary of the changes to COVID-19 guidance, that, subject to Welsh Government confirmation later this week, will come into effect from Friday 28th January, 2022:

  • No set limit on the number of people that can attend and spectate indoor activities/events – this number will be led by the facility provider based on a specific Coronavirus risk assessment
  • The general requirement of 2m social distancing in all premises open to the public and workplaces, will be removed
  • Changing rooms can be used without the need to maintain 2m social distancing, providing a risk assessment is completed
  • Due to changes in government guidance impacting use of changing rooms and spectators, teams will only be able to request a fixture postponement if they have a number of positive COVID-19 cases affecting their ability to fulfil a fixture

The Welsh Government have also announced that from 25th January, the COVID-19 self-isolation period has reduced to 5 days.

Please note that our Return to Play Protocols (see attached) have now been updated to reflect these changes.
