The West Wales FA have arranged an “INTRODUCTION TO THE NEW REFEREES ON LINE COURSE” and the details are as follows:

If you have anyone in your club who is interested in becoming a referee, then they are invited to attend an introductory evening at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea for a presentation on the new online course:
This is an opportunity to take up refereeing, open to Male/Females over the age of 14years.
Please do not think that starting young is the only route possible. Many ex-players become referees when finishing their playing careers and get a great deal of enjoyment from the change of involvement.
Whilst some referees have the ambition to reach the International Panel (FIFA); for others, continued involvement putting something back into the game and being recognized by appointments to cup finals at Area Association and local league level.
The main advantages offered include:
Lots of fresh air and exercise.
Continued active involvement in the game you love.
Enjoyment – Yes you do have to put up with some moaning, but the majority of people connected with the game recognize that it would be much the poorer without Referees.
Support doesn’t end once you’ve passed your exam either. The West Wales Football Association offer additional training and support to referees to further their development and possible progression through the football system.

The Football Association of Wales has over 1,000 registered referees and we are always keen to search for and develop additional referees to cover all areas of the game within Wales.
Depending on your ambitions and development there are also opportunities to referee internationally.
We have a proud history of developing referees to the highest level with a selection either being on the FIFA Referees Panel, FIFA Assistant Referees Panel and the JD Welsh Premier League
Whether you aspire to referee a World Cup Final or help out your local youth or adult leagues, every new referee needs to attend and pass a referees course run by the Football Association of Wales and this will be your first step to becoming a FAW Referee.
The Course is an on-line training module with a practical session to finish. On successfully passing the exam and practical session you will receive a Referee Starter Pack (as seen below) including a Full Referees Kit, Whistle, Flags, and Red &Yellow Cards, all this is available at a cost of £80.00, and this can be recouped in as little as 4 games of refereeing. 
Refereeing is rewarding, social and with the help of the FAW there are even opportunities to turn your passion into a profession at the highest level, as long as you have the talent and the time to dedicate.
Each online course will being with a face to face introductory session, ensuring you know how to utilise the course and support fully and ends with a practical session that will get you ‘match ready’.
