To support our coaches, across Wales, to continue their unrivalled support and commitment to educating our young players and ensuring they fall in love with football, we’ve produced a document to explain how we’re adapting to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.
First our Technical Director and Head of Coach Education explain what we’re doing and the FAQs below should answer any questions our grassroots and UEFA Licence coaches have…
Statement: FAW Technical Director Dr David Adams
“Our coach education team have been finding new and innovative ways to support our Football Family across Wales during these difficult times, and I hope you will continue to engage with us during this period to continually develop new ideas and concepts to support the future development of football in Wales.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support of our world leading coach education programme and thank you for your support in developing and growing the game in Wales.”
Statement: FAW Head of Coach Education Carl Darlington
“We pride ourselves in Wales on being recognised as a world class coaching nation and, during these unprecedented times, our aim has been to support our volunteer army of grassroots coaches to continue their coach education, while protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of all concerned.
With the above in mind, we have made the decision to extend the suspension of in-person coach education, at all levels in Wales, until Friday July 3.
We will continue to monitor all Government and key stakeholder advice in the meantime.”
